Password/User Name Help

You must be an authorized user to log in to HCAI. Authorizing Officers (AO) and/or user administrators from each organization will receive their user ID and initial password as part of the HCAI enrolment process. Other users will be assigned their user ID and initial password by the AO or the user administrator at their organization.

All HCAI users must select a secure password and keep that password private. All HCAI activity is recorded under each user's user ID and all HCAI users are responsible for all activity that takes place under their user ID.

Login:
To log in:
  • Enter your user ID
  • Enter your password
  • Press the "Sign-in" button or hit the "" key on your keyboard.
  • Upon login, first-time users will be prompted to change their temporary password.
Note: Your user account will be suspended if your password is incorrectly entered five (5) consecutive times. Contact your HCAI user administrator to un-suspend your account if this happens.

    Who's my HCAI user administrator?

If you are an HCAI user administrator with a suspended user account and there are no other HCAI user administrators in your organization, you must contact the HCAI helpdesk to get your account un-suspended. All such callers should be prepared to provide details sufficient to verify their identity.

    Password Rules:
All passwords must follow these rules:
    • Passwords must contain at least 8 characters.
    • New password cannot be the same as your previous five passwords.
    • Passwords cannot contain your username, first name, or last name, either forward or reversed.
    • Passwords must satisfy all of the following sub-rules:
    1. Contain at least one uppercase character
    2. Contain at least one lowercase character
    3. Contain at least one numeral
    4. Contain at least one symbol (characters that are not defined as letters or numerals, such as @, !, # and so on)
These are the minimum requirements for a HCAI password. Passwords should be chosen such that it is practically impossible for anyone other than the authorized user to guess.

Passwords expire in 90 days. Users will be prompted to change their password the first time they log in after this period ends.
